Teenage Rehabilitation Center
ADAPT Programs provide professional, affordable, and confidential services for substance abusing and chemically dependent adolescents. Our goal is to help our clients and their families get well and remain sober.
Our Teenage Rehabilitation Center offers an environment with all the comforts of home, as well as an onsite medical team that provides detox and rehabilitation services. We provide evidence-based medications that ease the side effects of detoxing and around-the-clock medical supervision to ensure the safety of our guests.
ADAPT treatment programs have a high success rate using scientifically based methods, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, community reinforcement, and 12 step facilitation.
Our mission is to lead the pack in evidence-based, integrated treatment for the dual diagnosis of substance abuse and mental health disorders through comprehensive education, clinical excellence, and client-centered care.

Physical warning signs are often the ones that are easiest to notice. Facial and skin issues, sudden weight loss or gain, and red, blood-shot eyes are indicators that your teen is abusing substances. You may also notice unexplained bruising or changes to their teeth. Finally, their walking pattern may change to a slow-moving, uneven pace.
Changes in behavior also indicate adolescent substance abuse. Teens may begin performing poorly at school, have a sudden, drastic change to their sleeping habits and hygiene practices, or lose interest in activities that they were once passionate about. Teens struggling with addiction may begin activating secretively, eat excessively, or lose their appetite without warning.
Finally, adolescents may change their social group drastically- either cutting ties with close friends or interacting with peers that also show warning signs of adolescent substance abuse.
Finding a Drug Rehab Center for Your Teen
Let today be the day you begin to heal your loved one and family. When it comes to finding help for your teen, we are here to help. You will want to find a treatment center near you that has experience working with young people and their unique challenges.
ADAPT offers a teenage rehabilitation facility and evidence-based treatment plans that have been designed specifically for adolescents to give them the best chance at long-term recovery and sobriety.
Our scientifically proven adolescent treatment plans are customized to meet the needs of your teen, as well as provide support and education for family members affected.
ADAPT provides individual, family, and group counseling, as well as spiritual awareness and education classes on addiction and substance abuse. ADAPT also facilitates community reinforcement and peer support groups, which are proven to have a strong impact on long-term rehabilitation.
What Happens During Teen Treatment?
Depending on your loved one’s situation, ADAPT offers both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. It is important to remember that you do have options, and that specialized treatment for teens is effective.
An estimated 180,000 adolescents between 12 and 17 were treated at a specialized facility for substance abuse in 2016 alone (rehabs.com). ADAPT has designed both inpatient and outpatient teen rehabilitation services that will meet the needs of your teen and their family.
Inpatient Rehab for Teens
Inpatient teen rehab, which requires the teen to stay on campus to receive treatment, may be required in situations where your teen needs to detox from a substance in a safe, medically-controlled environment. ADAPT offers inpatient detox at our residential facility, located in Southern Brazoria County.
We most commonly treat abuse of methamphetamines, opiates, alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, and marijuana, as well as the mental health issues that arise from addiction. Additionally, we provide individual, group, and family counseling.
During inpatient treatment, doctors and medical staff will be on-hand 24 hours a day to provide assistance and comfort as your loved one experiences withdrawal symptoms.
Once your teen has completed the inpatient program, they will graduate to our outpatient treatment programs to continue their path to recovery. Here is a comprehensive outline of what you can expect from outpatient treatment.
Outpatient Treatment | Frequency Of Group Therapy | Frequency Of Individual Therapy | Duration Of Program |
---|---|---|---|
Intensive Outpatient | 7 hours per week (two 2 hour and one 3 hour group) | 1 hour per week | 10-12 weeks (depending on progress) |
Supportive Outpatient | 4 hours per week (two 2hour groups) | 1 hour per week | 1.5-2 months (depending on progress) |
To transition from Intensive to Supportive outpatient treatment, participants must meet specific criteria:
- Completion of 85% of treatment plan goals/objectives
- Active participation in all treatment activities
- Meaningful involvement in community-based support group verification of community supports (sponsor, mentor, etc)
- No positive drug or alcohol screens with ADAPT or referral service
- No violations of Juvenile Justice or Referral Source stipulations
- Family involvement and participation
- Referral source notification and approval.
Outpatient Addiction Treatment for Teens
Outpatient addiction treatment is an option for teens who need treatment services but must remain present at home to keep up with school or family responsibilities. Adolescent Outpatient Services provides many supports to aid in healing and long-term recovery.
ADAPT offers a variety of counseling services, such as individual counseling from licensed counselors to treat your teen’s unique needs and provide a safe environment to share feelings. Family Counseling heals damage done to the entire family and provides education and counseling for all family members. Group Counseling, which is clinically proven to aid long-term recovery, helps to build trust and compassion, and provides a safe place for teens to “talk it out”.
At ADAPT, we offer drug education to heal the effects of drug use on the body, mind, and emotions. You can also expect Community Based Self-Help Concepts, which help teens and their families learn how to use and access community services to support recovery.
A Custom Comprehensive Discharge Planning will ensure your child has a clear plan for staying sober after rehab, as well as Relapse Prevention to support clients and families in identifying relapse symptoms and signs, as well as provide coping skills for everyday life. Finally, our One-Year Aftercare Program for teens and family to continue the ongoing recovery journey.
Benefits of Adolescent-Specific Rehab
Teens struggling with addiction require different treatment than adults and are less likely to seek help independently. An adolescent-specific rehab offers therapies and treatments that have been specially designed to meet their specific needs.
At a teenage rehabilitation center, adolescents will interact with medical professionals who have extensive experience in dealing with teen substance abuse and addiction. Teen rehab centers understand how to interact with and engage teenagers in the recovery process.
Supportive environments are crucial for healing. Choosing a teenage rehabilitation center near you also means your adolescent will be surrounded by other teens experiencing similar struggles.
Teenagers will receive sympathy and support from peers who are facing similar struggles, which is an important factor in the long-term recovery process. By building positive relationships with other teens, recovering addicts are more likely to maintain sobriety and abstain from substance abuse.
