Mental Health Services Houston
Addiction is a disease of the body and of the mind. Healing substance abuse once and for all requires uprooting the causes of addiction and preventing those beliefs and behaviors from sprouting up in the future. For that reason, every ADAPT Programs center offers a mental health program specifically designed to address the psychological components of drug and alcohol addiction. Our holistic and comprehensive treatment approach recognizes that much of the battle against addiction is waged in the mind, which is why we work tirelessly to equip participants with proven strategies for establishing and maintaining sobriety.
Mental Health Program Services
ADAPT offers medication compliance assessments, mental health assessments, and psychological evaluations to adolescent and adult clients. These preliminary evaluations allow our specialists to develop a recommended treatment program that takes into account the individual’s personal history, addictive tendencies, life circumstances, and any issues that threaten sustained sobriety. Such treatment programs are likely to include group counseling, individual counseling, spirituality awareness, and on-going mental health support programs. In both group and individual formats, the goal of our mental health services is to provide participants with a greater understanding of their life circumstances, instill an increased degree of emotional intelligence, equip individuals with positive coping mechanisms, and provide the support necessary to make addiction a thing of the past.
Our Mental Health Team
Not even the largest stash of self-help products can’t guarantee healing, but experience has taught us that teaming up with mental health professionals may be the next best thing. At ADAPT Programs, we ensure that there is always a board-certified psychiatrist on staff to supervise our treatment plans and to provide support to patients seeking an additional level of care.It is not uncommon for addiction to be accompanied by mental illness or unresolved personal trauma, which is why talk therapy is a cornerstone of most treatment programs. Our staff is also able to provide discrete and personalized care to individuals suffering from mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorders.
If you are interested in taking part in one of our many mental health programs, keep in mind that individual appointment times can be scheduled with our psychiatrist for any issues requiring individual care and attention.
