How does outpatient drug rehab work?
Every inquiry begins with a simple conversation held at an ADAPT Programs location. Here individuals will complete a personalized evaluation to find out it an IOP is the best option for their treatment needs.
Outpatient drug rehab and alcohol treatment classes generally meet three times weekly for four-hour sessions with a trained specialist. Programs last anywhere from four to six weeks, and class schedules as well as availability vary by location.
The Intensive Outpatient Program Texas includes:
- Individual Counseling allows participants to work one-on-one with a treatment counselor and discuss issues that arise during recovery
- Family Programs address the ripple effects of addiction and its impact on family life. Families receive addiction education courses and practice strategies to find both healing and recovery.
- Group Counseling is designed to build trust and compassion within a tightly knit community of peers. Participants will come to understand that they are not alone in addiction and don’t have to be alone in recovery.
- Drug Addiction Education teaches participants and their families about the emotional, behavioral, physiological, and spiritual effects of addiction.
- Community Resources are provided in order to support participants with a network of community groups, programs, and healthcare professionals that help ensure lasting positive change.
- Discharge Planning helps individuals return to daily life with the necessary tools to stay sober. Every discharge plan is carefully constructed and personalized to meet specific needs and circumstances.
- Relapse Prevention Groups are the first line of defense when relapse warning signs appear. Through personal interaction participants acquire strong coping skills to prevent a relapse and maintain sobriety.
