1. Call one of our caring and professional call representatives with client details. An ADAPT Programs representative will collect all of the information needed about your referral. We will then set up a quick consultation with our admissions department.
2. Our admissions staff will inform you of any out of pocket expenses that may occur during the course of treatment.
3. You or your loved one will meet with an admissions counselor to determine which level of treatment is most appropriate.
Insurance Information
Treatments for alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation is provided at ADAPT Programs. There are a variety of different insurance options available for individuals with the disease of addiction; therefore we address the topic of insurance coverage here to help you make the decision that is right for you and your family.
At ADAPT Programs, we are considered an out of network facility by some insurance companies. We are also an in network facility with other insurance companies. Contact your insurance company directly to discuss the details of your policy, as most insurance plans have some type of out of network coverage to assist you with getting addiction treatment to overcome your dependence on drugs or alcohol.
While ADAPT Programs prefers to receive full payment from each client directly, we also understand that, because insurance benefits may decrease your out of pocket costs, some may want to utilize insurance coverage for the addiction recovery process.
Insurance vs. Self-Pay Cost Considerations
If you self-pay in advance, you will enjoy deep discounts compared to the charges invoiced to insurance carriers. Why? In order to help offset the considerable administrative expense to deal with insurance companies on your behalf, we must charge accordingly. Even though we will advocate for you, please be aware that ADAPT Programs cannot mandate that your insurance company assume responsibility for your fees. An insurance policy is a contract between you and the insurance company.

The law (The Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act) requires group health insurance plans that cover more than 50 employees to provide coverage for substance abuse disorders in the same way they do for all other medical and surgical procedures covered by the plan. Specifically, the law prohibits imposing financial requirements (i.e. deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance, or out-of-pocket maximums) or treatment limitations (including day or visit limits) on substance use benefits that are more restrictive than those imposed on other medical or surgical benefits provided by the plan. However, some policies may not cover addiction treatment at all. If you feel that your benefits are misaligned with your recommended course of treatment, it is in your best interest to communicate directly with your insurance carrier (perhaps through your employer) to convey the importance of your treatment.
